Margot, Mary Grace, and Lacey Ann were all raised with silver spoons in their mouths, except for Elli, who had to work a little harder. But that doesn’t get in the way of the four ladies’ incredible friendship, which takes them from their bourgeois flats in Birmingham, Alabama to gorgeous Hawaii. Once at the resort, they sign up for their surgeries and treatments and eagerly await meeting their handsome matches, compliments of Rewind Ranch. But beauty is not without pain, and while the ladies recover, they begin to notice a few things aren’t right with the place. A few too many obituaries in the resort’s newspaper and some mysterious “infections” begin to catch their attention and raise their eyebrows…But it’s even worse than they think or could have ever imagined.

Eccentric author Peggi Davis makes this fast paced, entertaining and engaging story a frolic through the pages, that’s for sure. With mystery, a little comedy, and a storyline that starts out light but quickly becomes gripping, this is a real gem in the mystery, thriller and women’s friendship fiction genres. Peggi Davis’s writing is superb and very well thought-out. She’s given a lot of thought to each of her character’s personalities, strengths and flaws and picked the perfect bunch to set in this kind of storyline. Margot’s ambition to be Rewind Ranch’s Harvest Queen contrasts with Mary Grace’s kindness and goodwill toward others, and Lacey Ann and Ellie have their differences, but they’re a great group of friends despite everything—and their terrifying brush with mortality only strengthens their friendship as they learn more about one another’s strengths, and resourcefulness as they work together to survive.

All, in all, this is not a book that you want to miss out on. You should hurry up and read it—before it becomes a movie! Highly recommended by Dazzle Reads.
